As Downtown Camera transitions to a more open shopping experience, we ask our customers for a little more patience as we are using the next few days to implement the initiative. Effective immediately, we have set up more serving stations to accommodate the in-store capacity limit. We are requesting that we minimize contact times, keep social distancing practices and be mindful of others. Please remember to dress for the weather and you should also anticipate there may be be a short line up. Call if you have questions before your visit.
Our current operating hours are:
Monday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm
Closed on Sundays / Holidays

*For Film Services: Film Drop off –we request that you pre-fill our ONLINE FORM, or if you don’t have a printer, use it as a guide to give us adequate written instructions.
To help us expediting your purchase, please follow our guideline:
Buying film –we encourage everyone to purchase online. We are completing orders in less than 15 minutes. If you can add it to cart, it means we have it in stock. If you are a part of our club, use promo code: AMFM2022
Pickup – Goods purchased online – we file by FIRST NAME and telephone number
Pickup –Photo-finishing/negatives/prints – please have the 6 DIGIT NUMBER(S) assigned by our photo-lab that would be texted to you and in subject line of our emails
*Passport/ID photos – It is best to please call us at 416-363-1749 to book appointment
*Service/repair– please contact us via email at service@downtowncamera.com or call us first to discuss the situation before your visit

Due to the Omicron variant of Covid-19, we are requesting again in-store shopping be a purposeful one and to please be mindful of others. We are also requesting that we minimize contact times and keep social distance. Call if you have questions before your visit.
Also due to the cold winter weather, when you are at our doors, we will ask that you call us at 416-363-1749 to be served and directed, as each of our departments have limited capacity. If you do not have a phone, please knock and a staff member will come out and advise accordingly.
Please also anticipate there may be a short line up so dress for the weather and park your vehicle to allot for this time accordingly.

Should the government require that we lock down similar to the beginning of the pandemic, we will still be in contact to answer calls and/or emails on how we can continue to conduct business and operate our film services.

We are pleased to announce effective Friday, June 11th, 2021; we are permitted to re-open for in-store shopping with restricted capacity of 15%.
Kindly note our current operating hours as follows;
Monday to Saturday from 11am to 6pm
Closed on Sundays
We happily welcome everyone back but please do not forget that we are still all fighting against COVID-19. We ask that your in-store shopping be a purposeful one and mindful of others.

For your convenience, we are taking appointments for sales. For passport/ID pictures and/or service/repairs, appointments must be made. Please call to make your appointment during operating hours.
PLEASE NOTE: Film drop off, Photo-finishing pick up and film purchases along with other front counter services will remain at curbside.
To expedite transactions and minimize contact times, purchase online for curbside pickup. Our average processing time is less than 2 hours!

A province-wide declaration of emergency and a stay-at-home order are in effect as of April 8 at 12:01 a.m.
In-store shopping Is prohibited until further notice, however we are allowed to open for home delivery / curbside pick-up / contactless drop off service.
We will continue our operating hours as follows;
-Monday to Saturday from 11am to 5pm
-Closed on Sundays
If we have in stock, we can have it ready for curbside pick-up in less than 2 hours!
Please assist us by following these instructions:
1/ Order through our on-line store and select CURBSIDE PICK during checkout process. You will receive an order confirmation email asking you to wait for the pick-up email.
2/ When your order is ready for pick up, our systems will send you receipts and we will follow up with a call.
3/ When you arrive, please go to a designated spot (1 - 6) as noted on our windows and call us at 416 363 1749, please let us know what spot you are in and our staff will guide you through the curbside pickup process. Please have your government issued PHOTO-ID ready as we will need it to release your order.

In accordance with local health and governmental guidance, we have taken the following measures:
• Protective Mask Required: Customers are encouraged to come with their own personal protective mask, masks are also available for a small fee at the door.
• Marked queuing spaces outside of our store
• Limited number of customers & associates allowed in stores at once to encourage social distancing
• Social distancing signs and floor decals for traffic flow throughout the store
• Designated sales stations and checkout counters are equipped with acrylic shields to increase the protection of customers and staff
• Increase cleaning frequency of commonly touched surfaces
• Hand sanitizers are available throughout the store

As announced by Premier Doug Ford, the lockdown has been extended for Toronto. In-store shopping Is prohibited until Jan. 23, 2021 however we will be open for home delivery / curbside pick-up / drop off service.

Premier Doug Ford announced starting Tuesday, May 19th; non-essential businesses with street facing access, can offer IN-STORE Shopping with a limited number of customers in the store at anyone time to ensure physical distancing. However, it was also stressed that businesses should continue to encourage curbside pickup or deliveries to help continue the fight against COVID-19.
Due to several factors again, with the priority of keeping our community and staff safe, Downtown Camera is offering IN-STORE Shopping BY APPOINTMENT ONLY from 12pm to 5pm Monday though Friday.
We would ask our customers to be mindful when making an appointment. We are still all fighting against COVID-19 and ask that your in-store shopping be a purposeful one.
Even though you have made an appointment, please stand in line if there is a line at our doors as we are also allowing customers to drop-off-film and curb-side-pick-up-appointment. Kindly factor that you maybe in the line for a few minutes but adequate time will be given to serve you.

Due to several factors, Downtown Camera is only able to offer CURBSIDE PICK-UP BY APPOINTMENT.
Please assist us by following these instructions:
1/ Order through our on-line store and select CURBSIDE PICK-UP BY APPOINTMENT during checkout process. You will receive an order confirmation email asking you to wait for the pick-up email and to prepare for a time slot later in the week.
2/ When your order is ready for pick up (on average up to 2 business days or less), we will send you a "pick-up" email asking for your preferred day and time slot in order to better serve you and to avoid line-ups on the street.
3/ When you arrive, please have your order number and your government issued PHOTO-ID ready as we will need them to release your order.

The Ontario government is allowing certain businesses and workplaces to reopen as long as they comply with strict public health measures and operate safely during the COVID-19 outbreak. UNFORTUNATELY, we are NOT on that list. As such, our retail store will be remain closed to the public until further notice.

On March 20th, we announced the temporary closure of our store until April 6th. It is clear to us now we would not be able to re-open for that date. As such, our retail store will be closed to the public until further notice.

To our dear Downtown Camera Community,
On the evening of March 19th, Toronto’s Medical Officer of Health announced it was “strongly recommended that any non-essential businesses close their doors immediately to stop the spread of COVID-19”.
In response, we are following through with this recommendation by closing our doors to the public effective Friday March 20th at 2pm.
Our tentative date for re-opening is Monday April 6th, however as this situation is changing hour by hour, please follow us on our social media for up to date news.
Our website is still open 24/7 for online shopping and our friendly staff has offered to stay connected via email at info@downtowncamera.com
We have also made arrangements to still receive film by mail for processing. We urge you to send your film to us with a tracking service and it will be queued in line for processing ahead of our re-opening!
