The new Leica Noctilux-M 35 f/1.2 ASPH. emerges as a masterpiece of optical engineering—purpose‑built for the demands of modern high‑resolution M cameras and meticulously conceived, crafted, and perfected in Wetzlar.

Its creation draws on decades of Leica expertise, paired with cutting‑edge manufacturing techniques. Specialized glass types and precision‑engineered aspherical elements are shaped in Wetzlar using advanced Precision Glass Molding (PGM) technology, a process so exacting it achieves tolerances down to an extraordinary 3 nanometers per millimeter of diameter.

Inside, a sophisticated optical architecture of ten elements in five groups—including three aspherical lenses—works in harmony with a floating element to deliver unwavering performance across the entire focus range. An integrated lens hood further elevates image quality by minimizing stray light and reflections, producing striking contrast and vibrant, faithful color reproduction, even in challenging backlit scenes.
